Café Abseits in Bamberg

As the name suggests, apart. But you need it at the point. Beer selection should be good, but don't remind me. Bassd scho in the sum.

For many years one of the most pleasant pubs in Bamberg. Good draft beer, good food, nice people, good background music and great service. What more do women need for a nice evening?

The food and even the drinks took a very long time since 1 hour for a coffee The food was great and so was the coffee

Have come to breakfast. Had to wait forever until we were served, even though there was only one other table at which people were sitting. When we ordered we had to wait an hour until we ONLY got the ointment ... Legends say that they are still waiting for the rest of the breakfast.

The Café Abseits was recommended to us as a cult pub years ago and we were not disappointed. There are small dishes that are very tasty and inexpensive, and the offside has a great beer selection. We sometimes have game evenings here or meet friends. The decor is quaint original

Nice beer offer in a real pub, so you can rarely find it. This is not a feel-good oasis because everything is getting old. Keyword toilet, furniture. However, that is also the charm ...

In itself a nice pub. The beer selection is outstanding. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. What is not possible is the men's toilet. I have never seen anything like it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Small coffee place - We were 60 people and overran that place, but they kept cool and stayed nice ... Good staff 👍

An institution in the district Bamberg-Ost. Good food with simple dishes, excellent beer selection with the best beers in the region as well as international beer specialties. Very nice little backyard beer garden.

Very nice pub / economy with a relaxed atmosphere on the street Pödeldorfer. The offside cafe has been around for several years and basically I was always happy with my visits. There is a nice selection of beers and food / snacks that also taste good. Cafe Off is a great place to have a meal or a drink. The prices are reasonable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Gladly again...

Inconspicuous from the outside, but cozy and beautifully designed inside. There is a huge selection of beers and you can eat there well. For art lovers there is the possibility to buy the paintings on the walls. Overall, only the toilets could be modernized.

Great beer, amazing pizza

Breakfast was very good. Nice service, but very loud in the pub due to the hard rock music. The fully occupied restaurant with families with small children and this music is not really my recommendation on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock. The beer garden is really nice and well attended in the evenings and very cozy. The food is great and highly recommended.

Breakfast at that time only a disaster .... First only a breakfast was served, everyone else at the table looked into the tube, after the breakfast was eaten, a coffee was served ... for six people ... after another 30 minutes two more coffees were "rocked" to the table ... then it took a long time and we were asked how much coffee we still get ... bach another 10 minutes were brought us the remaining drinks and the waitress asked if we had everything have ... we just said "The ordered breakfast for coffee would be lovely" .... after breakfast the breakfast was served, it was pure disappointment ... cold fried eggs and rolls from last week ... offside, Your time has come ....

This café/pub jas a FANTASTIC selection of beers, many of which are unavailable outside the specific brewery. The dining room is relaxed and casual. The terrace is also very pleasant with sunny and shaded areas. The food however, is a downfall. Not one person at the table of six had really good food. Mu pasta was overcooked and the Bolognese sauce could have hung wallpaper, it was that thick! In short, go here for their beers, nit NOT their food.

Nice, cozy pub, located outside the city center, near train station. Quaint flair, cozy beer garden and very open, nice staff make a visit worthwhile. The food is mediocre, maybe more for a quick snack between beers than for dinner. The beer selection is huge and something for everyone (in the picture to see the beer tasting, recommended for undecided;)) Prices are also good and consistent. Great shop, visit recommended, v. a really summer, when you can sit in the garden!

The best place in Bamberg if you want to try Franconian beers from the Bamberg area and eat good food. Has a great sortiment of beers from the surroundings and also the ones brewed in Bamberg.

I am so glad this is still here. I was a regular here from 94 to 96 when I was stationed there. Thank you so much for still being there.

A wonderful pub and Gert is a marvelous host.

They always have a great beer selection here and the food is pretty good. The menu has a lot of variety and I've pretty much only had the schnitzel and pasta but they were filling and tasty. The service has been very friendly each time.

Great selection of German beers. Had a tasting paddle (bierprobe) then went on to bottles. Quite uncommon to find such a beer place in Germany. Bar staff were chatty in English and had plenty of recommendations.

Huge breakfast for ~10€, also options for less. Quality is very high, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is super cosy.

A beautiful little place hidden in plain sight. Wife and I came here with a friend and had a very enjoyable time. Friendly service and good food with nice prices. Will definitely be coming back as soon as we can.

Smaller place, with delicious food and large portions. However, there was a mix-up in my meal, instead of "chips * with dip I got chips and the fastest ones are not. Empty glasses were" overlooked "for a long time instead of asking if you wanted anything else.

With so many amazing breweries in town, it's a tough sell being a pub unless, of course you have a great selection of regional brews. They do just that, with a few regional favorites and at least one rotating beer, generally a Bock in winter. Zehendner from Mönchsambach is often featured and if you don't want to make the trek out there, it's worth coming to Cafe Abseits just for that. I've never eaten there but it's popular with locals looking for non-Franconian fare.
